• The Avon 3 day walk for breast cancer is 60 miles long. The Avon 2 days walk lasts 39 miles.

• The March of Dimes is an organization that helps people with premature babies. It also helps babies that have been born prematurely so that they have a living chance.

• The march of Dimes also holds a charitably event in spring to help raise money for people with premature babies. In Chicago the walk begins on April 27 until March 10th.

• About 120,000 babies (1 in 33) in the United States are born each year with birth defects.
